InterVarsity Christian Fellowship ~ USA
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is a ministry organization serving college students throughout the USA and globally in partnership with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES).
In the mid 1990's and early 2000's, InterVarsity students from the Los Angeles area traveled to Ghana almost every summer. They raised support from individuals and churches to assist with the early construction of the Amazing Grace School. As they worked alongside the Mantes, learning from their example and teachings, these students grew in their faith and expanded their vision for ministry. Strong relationships with the school have endured. Many of our API board members were part of those early InterVarsity teams.
First Presbyterian Church of Pomona ~ Pomona, CA
Members of First Presbyterian Church of Pomona, most notably Lisa Engdahl, helped establish Adom Partnership International as a 501c3 non-profit organization. For many years, children from the church have corresponded as pen pals with students at the Amazing Grace School.
In the summer of 2023, a team from First Presbyterian Church of Pomona traveled to the Amazing Grace School to strengthen relationships and contribute to various projects, including painting murals, developing the school library and computer lab, and enhancing recreational and sports areas.
Altadena Baptist Church ~ Altadena, CA
In 2014, Pastor Connie DeVaughn led a team from Altadena Baptist Church, including a good portion of their youth group, to Ghana. The goal was to build international mutual partnership in the gospel. The team assisted with various projects including painting and the beautification of the campus. The climax of the trip was the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Amazing Grace School. Robert DeVaughn served as an API board member for many years.
Palo Alto Vineyard Church ~ Palo Alto, CA
Palo Alto Vineyard Church began a partnership with the Amazing Grace School in 2024. Lead Pastor Susan Van Riesen has connections with the school through her 16 years on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Susan participated in one of the first summer trips of InterVarsity students to the Amazing Grace School.
